All aboard for the Irish Maritime Festival this weekend in Drogheda

The award-winning Irish Maritime festival is back! Taking place this weekend in Drogheda Port, it’s a super-sized maritime celebration and it suitable for all ages. Hosted by Louth County Council and Drogheda Port Company in conjunction with Virgin Media, the event takes over the town for a wonderful weekend of maritime activities.

Kells Courthouse reopens as new Tourism and Cultural Hub

The Kells Courthouse reopend in May 2018 with a special permanent Boyne Valley Exhibition designed to inspire tourists and local people to explore the town of Kells and spend time discovering its wonderful history, culture, arts and heritage. Located in the main hall of the Kells Courthouse, this much anticipated new exhibition uses the latest digital technology to showcase renowned and unique historic sites of the Boyne Valley and provide an exciting overview of Ireland’s Ancient East initiative.

Spring Tour of the Boyne Valley

An important and popular part of membership of the Discover Boyne Valley network is the familiarisation or 'fam' trip, where a number of sights and attractions within the Boyne Valley are visited. This is a chance of members to meet each other and visit parts of the Boyne Valley that they might not have experienced before, or hadn't visited for a number of years.
