Today for meet the members we will be exploring the magnificent Slane Castle, on the banks of the Boyne.
Since the 17th century Slane Castle has been home to the Conyngham family; Henry Vivien Pierpont Conyngham currently holds the title of 8th Marquess Conyngham. The medieval castle was modernised in the late 18th century by its resident William Burton Conyngham, on behalf of his uncle Henry Conyngham, 1st Earl Conyngham. W.
