Food Connect Conference Puts Place on a Plate

Food Connect is a new tourism conference developed by Fáilte Ireland featuring expert international and domestic speakers, mouth-watering food showcases as well as panel discussions, networking opportunities and the unveiling of exclusive new findings on Irish food tourism.

The conference, will take place over two days in Tankardstown House, Co. Meath on the 12th and 13th September 2016.

The event is aimed at Tourism and Food Businesses who want to be a part of Ireland’s Food Story and who are looking to further develop saleable and unique food tourism experiences, particularly for international visitors.

It offers an exclusive opportunity to just 120 trade attendees. Mixing cutting-edge insights and new market intelligence. It also offers tourism businesses a new and exciting opportunity to interact, network and learn so, if food is your business, you can’t afford to miss it.

Compéred by Pól O Conghaile, Food Connect will explore the role of food in tourism, spotlight the latest trends, learn how leading destinations position themselves in the global marketplace, and examine how food is presented to visitors in Ireland’s Ancient East, ‘Dublin. A Breath of Fresh Air’, and on the Wild Atlantic Way.

International speakers over the two days include: Erik Wolf, Founder of the World Food Travel Association; Daniel Klein and Mirra Finne, the husband and wife team behind The Perennial Plate and; Hege Anita Eilertsen, Marketing Director for Norway’s Museum Nord and many more.
