We are celebrating World Tourism Day in the Boyne Valley, one of only two events in Ireland here: http://wtd.unwto.org/content/events-map-2016. World Tourism Day is all about accessibility. That may be due to a disability, even temporary, families with small children, or the ageing population, at some point in our lives, sooner or later, we all benefit from universal accessibility in tourism. With accessibility in mind, our new Discover Boyne Valley App is free from the app store while the audio guide is available through our website at http://www.discoverboynevalley.ie/boyne-valley-audio-guide making it available to all. The new audio guide provides free access to learn about the incredible story of the Boyne Valley including the 5,000 year old UNESCO World Heritage site at Newgrange and Brú na Bóinne, the largest Anglo Norman Castle in Ireland at Trim, the majestic royal site of Tara and the 18th century Tholsel building in Drogheda, once the Municipal Authority, now with a state of the art exhibition on the Boyne Valley.
