Beggys launch 'Rising Festival of Great Irish Music' headlined by Aslans Christy Dignam

BEGGYs BAR Navan, the best live music pub in the North East, continue on their mission to make Navan the mecca of great live music by announcing the ‘RISING FESTIVAL OF GREAT IRISH MUSIC’ in March. The festival will take place over this St Patricks Day and EASTER weekend. The festival will be headlined by Christy Dignam and Joe Jewell of ASLAN fame on March 18th.

Tourism Ireland’s latest promotion is under way in Australia right now – with some 1 million commuters seeing eye-catching billboard ads for Ireland in key locations in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. The ads’s for Ireland’s Ancient East feature Dunmoe Castle.

Irish Maritime Festival Scoops Major Tourism Award

Louth’s Irish Maritime Festival this week scooped the coveted “Fáilte Ireland Best Tourism Initiative” at the Local Government Management Awards. The announcement was made at a glittering award ceremony in Dublin on Saturday night.

The festival, now entering its fourth year, is hosted by Louth County Council and Drogheda Port Company. It brings together a host of sponsors, community groups, the arts and sporting organisations to stage a weekend spectacular on the River Boyne.

1916 Lecture in the Barbican Centre
