MEATH TOURISM ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
The Annual General Meeting of Meath Tourism is to take place on Wednesday, 17th September, 2014 at 4.00p.m. in Trim Castle Hotel, Trim, Co. Meath. This meeting is open to the public and all are welcome to attend.
Kells & District Tourism Forum has moved its information desk in the north Meath town to make it more accessible to visitors.
Since Thursday last, the Tourist Forum Office is now based in the Foyer of the Headfort Arms Hotel and will be manned by two members of staff throughout the week.
The desk will initially be open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., when Kells experiences the largest numbers of visitors.

5 September 2014 – Millions of people around the world will be reading all about Co Meath and our Gaelic games and unique cultural sporting experience – following the visit this week by travel writers from eight different countries.
It was a great achievement to be a finalist once again in this very prestigious RDS National Craft Awards but at the prize awards ceremony in the RDS the name Seamus Cassidy was called out for 2 separate awards. The work entitled "Orbital" won 1st Prize and RDS Medal in the Woodturning craft category and the Irish Woodturners Guild Award with a €500 prize. This brings to 13 the total number of RDS awards received by Seamus to date.
As part of the very successful Boyne Valley Food Series a new generation of Meath food enthusiasts were given an opportunity to learn from the best as they attended a Kids Master Class in cooking with Pauric White of the Forge Restaurant this week.

Feat of clay stunt for Trim Swift festival
A fun feet-across-the-border event will be one of the highlights of the Swift Satire Festival in Trim on the weekend of Saturday and Sunday 12th and 13th July.
People who participate in the public reading of one of Jonathan Swift’s satirical masterpieces, A Tale Of A Tub, will be in two places at once, explained Pat Dunne, chairman of the festival’s Cultural Committee.
