One of the most anticipated dates on the Irish Racing calendar is the Fairyhouse Easter Festival. Running in 2019 from Sunday April 21st to Tuesday April 23rd, the Festival has been the scene of some memorable occasions over the years such as AP McCoys last ever ride on Irish soil and the victory of Our Duke in the BoyleSports Irish Grand National for trainer Jessica Harrington in 2017. In 2018 the race was won by General Principle for Gordon Elliott under JJ Slevin. 

Fairyhouse Racecourse Home of the BoyleSports Irish Grand National, Ireland‚Äôs most valuable handicap steeple-chase with a prize fund of ‚ā¨500,000. First run in 1870, it has become a key date in the Irish sporting calendar. Public bar/ restaurant and suites available for meetings and functions.

Scurlogstown Olympiad promotes our cultural heritage & boosts tourism by providing a programme of events for all.

We have ‚Äėplay in the hay‚Äô for the young, Arts & crafts at the old thatched village, ‚Äėroll in the hay‚Äô, live bands, set dancing,
dog & goat shows,scythe cutting & sheaf tossing competitions & the unique display of working horses & vintage tractors.

Gates open at 12pm.

Athboy and R√°th Chairn are to host the 2019 Leinster Fleadh which takes place from 8th to 16th July, with the festival expected to attract up to 30,000 visitors to the area. Musicians from all over Leinster will compete in tis regional final, ahead of the national competition which also takes place in the Boyne Valley this year, in Drogheda in August.

The countdown is on to the most important Irish music and cultural event of the year, and once again it's going to be at the heart of the Boyne Valley! Fleadh Cheoil na h√Čireann returns to Drogheda in 2019 and brings together thousands of people from across the world for a week of exciting events dedicated to all aspects of Irish music, song, dance and other cultural arts.
