Samhain- Recovery through Food

Animated Ajax Loader

A virtual celebration of 5,000 years of Irish Food and Culture.

It is with sadness but inevitability that Boyne Valley Flavours have announced that Samhain Food Festival will not be happening this November.

Last year’s inaugural event, hosted in conjunction with Hinterland Festival Kells, witnessed a weekend of debate, demonstrations, literary pub recitals, thematic drama and long table feasting - picking up the accolade ‘Best Food Festival 2019’ from the McKenna Guides.

There has never been a more important time to support each other, collaborate and reflect on how food and its power to unite can play a large part in our recovery for the future.

With that in mind, they will be hosting a one-day virtual event, titled ‘Samhain - Recovery through Food’.

Grainne McKeown, the Boyne Valley Food Officer said ‘We are working hard on producing a really worthwhile day of interactive sessions, fitting to the current mood providing inspiration from thought leaders, authors and chefs with reflections on the past, debate of our current reality and thoughts on recovery through the common denominator of food’

This event will take place on Saturday November 7th presenting a day of thought, reflection and inspiration from personalities and thought leaders both Irish and International.

Stay tuned for updates on the programme and details on how to join us for this complimentary virtual celebration.
