The Easter bunny has well and truly taken up residency in the Boyne Valley this year and there are lots of activities planned to make your Easter Break truly magical. There are lots of great Easter accommodation offers this year for you to choose. Whether you are visiting to ride the new Dino Dash at Tayto Park, take in all the great heritage sites or just taking a break with the kids, you won’t be disappointed! Here is a full list of all the great Easter events in the Boyne Valley. 


Easter Crafts with Creative Genie at the Solstice Arts Centre

Join Trisha from Creative Genie on this Easter/Spring themed workshop in Navan. Learn lots of crafting skills and make your own Easter decorations. There'll be weaving, painting, moulding and more and lots of cute pieces to take home! This children’s workshop is suitable for ages 5 – 10 and is being held on Saturday the 9th of April from 10:30am – 12pm.

Colourful Characters at the Solstice Arts Centre
Bring your characters to life through drawing and print with local artist and author Tatyana Feeney. This is a three day Easter camp in Solstice studio to explore book illustration, develop your own heroes and heroines and learn how to use paint and colour to begin their visual, imaginative journey. Its suitable for children aged 8 – 12 and runs from Tuesday the 19th – Thursday the 21st April, 10am -12pm each day.

Fairyhouse Easter Festival

The Fairyhouse Easter Festival can be a great day out for the entire family. Family fun day on Easter Sunday promises a thrilling combination of top-class jump racing, featuring the Grade 1 Gold Cup, and a host of free entertainment and activities for children of all ages, with face painters, balloon modelling and bubble fun for everyone. Roll-up with the family for the children’s theatre shows with interactive pantomime puppets and a magic ventriloquism show, with a grand finale starring the Easter bunny. Make sure to buy your tickets well in advance for this one.

Featuring the legendary Flying Trapeze, the astounding Globe of Death, as well as hilarious clowns, aerialists, contortionists and lots more at Navan Racecourse from Wednesday the 6th of April to Sunday the 10th April!

Fairy School at Slane Castle

Learn to be a fairy and graduate with wings at this magical day camp at Slane Castle on the 9th and 10th of April. Join the fairies for a fun filled adventure as you learn all about the magical world of fairies, unicorns, mermaids and so much more!

Easter Egg hunt at Navan Adventure Centre

Join the team at Navan Adventure Centre for their Easter Egg Hunt. Use clues and follow the map to unlock the code to your Easter Egg prize. Also included are their inflatable obstacle courses and slides (Child must be 1 meter tall or more), football golf, adventure obstacle course, mini golf and off-road pedal go-karting. A great day out for the entire family this Easter. This event runs on the 16th, 17th and 18th of April and can be booked online now.


Beewise Nature Trail Easter Egg Hunt

Get lost in this beautiful oasis of flowers and trees this Easter. Beewise Nature Trail is excited to host an Easter Egg Hunt on 17th and 18th April. Chocolate treats will be hidden around the 5-acre woodland walk for participants to find. An extra bonus will be the dinosaur eggs, one of which will have a special Golden Ticket to win a hamper. How eggciting!!

The Irish Military War Museum Easter Event

This Easter, enjoy a visit to the Irish Military War Museum. Their Easter event is happening on the 17th and 18th of April. Keep an eye on their Facebook page for more details and tickets. Let the kids run off some steam in the free playground with slides, swings, and a mini obstacle course. For the ultimate fun challenge, let the kids loose at the inflatable obstacle course, where games, climbs, crawls, challenges and slides will keep them entertained for hours!


Easter Weekend at Newgrange Farm

From the 16th to the 18th of April, Newgrange Farm will have 2 sessions daily for their Easter event. From 10.45am to 12.45pm and from 2.45pm to 4.45pm daily they will be running four competitions situated around the Farm – Hook A Duck, Bunny Throw, Lollipop Game and a Colouring Competition. All children will receive something small for taking part in each competition with different prizes for winners. The Easter Bunny will also be in attendance during the above times and you will be able to take pictures of your family with him on your phone or camera.


Tayto Park 

Tayto Park
 
Hurray! Tayto Park will be open for the full two weeks of the Easter Holidays this year. Enjoy playgrounds, face painting, a zoo with over 100 different animals, The Viking Voyage, Ladybird Loop, Grand Carousel, the new Dino Dash and The Nissan Driving School, Irelands first driving school! Be sure to secure your tickets online prior to travelling.
