This celebration of great racing, food and family fun sees thousands gather at the Old Racecourse, Dowth which is part of the Brú na Bóinne, Unesco World Heritage Site. Guaranteed to be as much fun as you can have with your wellies on!
The Dowth Point to Point offers 6 races all over 3 miles and fences. What is Point-to-Pointing? If you’ve never been to a Point-to-Point before, you’re in for a great days entertainment. A Point-to-Point is racing over fences for mainly younger horses, ridden by amateur jockeys. It is governed by the Turf Club and each fixture is run by a registered hunt club – in this case a joint effort by the Meath Hunt & Tara Harriers.
An epicurean delight; the Artisan Food Market will showcase delicious local produce. There will be over 30 artisan producers where you can taste and purchase delicious award-winning artisan foods, craft beers, cider, whiskey and gin from local distilleries.
