On Friday October 07thThe Glyde Inn, Annagassan will be hosting a very special Opera Night with Tenor, Gavan ring and his wife, soprano Nicola Ring . This promises to be another fantastic evening of fine food and singing not to be missed.
Gavan Ring, Tenor is a multiple national and international prizewinner, having been awarded second prize at the 2015 Concorso Lirico Internazionale di Portofino in Italy and second prize at the 2013 Wigmore Hall/Kohn Foundation International Song Competition. Major national awards include the Southbank Sinfonia Award for Orchestral Song, the National Concert Hall Dr Bernadette Greevy Bursary and the Cuisine de France John Count McCormack Bursary.
Gavan's wife Nicola is a Lyric Soprano based in Carlingford. Nicola graduated with a 1st class honours degree in Music Performance from the RIAM studying with Dr. Veronica Dunne and Mary Brennan. She has won numerous prizes at Feis Ceoil and was named as the National Concert Hall’s Young Musician of the Future. She made her debut at Glyndebourne Festival Opera as the second fairy in Purcell’s “The Fairy Queen”
