Bee Wise Garden Walk is a family owned 5 acre educational nature walk meandering through young woodland. Our aim is to educate young and old on the importance of our pollinators and biodiversity, with particular emphasis on the honey bee.

It is located just outside the village of Kilmessan, approximately half way between the Seat of the High Kings at the Hill of Tara and Trim Castle.

The nature walk consists of a large variety of wildflowers, shrubs and trees which our different pollinators work. It’s not just the bees that are doing all the work. Butterflies, birds, beetles, bats, wasps and even flies are important in the pollination process.

As you meander through the trees there are information facts to read, a large, working, observation hive to view and children’s activities to partake in.

Talks can be arranged for group bookings or on Open Days on the life of the bees.

Demonstrations are provided for group bookings or on Open Days on the extraction of honey from uncapping to spinning (glass spinner) to allow for a full visual of the honey process.
