Director Barry O’Donoghue present a look behind the scenes of his new film, with 20 minutes of finished footage, rough work and a look at his process, and discussion facilitated by Paul O'Flanagan.

When an ice goblin emerges from a strange iceberg to snatch her husky pup, eight year old Cari is determined to get him back even if her brother and grandmother don't believe her story. But what she discovers inside the iceberg will change them all forever.
Barry O'Donoghue joined the Feature Animation division at Warner Brothers in Los Angeles in 1998 where he worked in production management (The Iron Giant, Eight Crazy Nights) and as an animator (Osmosis Jones, The Karate Guard). Returning to Ireland in 2002 he founded Barley Films with his sister Niamh producing ten award-winning shorts with directors including Sydney Padua, Louise Bagnall, Alice Bohl and Padraig Fagan in a variety of techniques - hand-drawn, stop-motion, paint on glass & CGI. He has consulted on projects for the Irish studios Cartoon Saloon, A Man & Ink and Paper Panther Films. Between 2005 & 2013 he was a tutor on the animation degree course at the National Film School (IADT) in Ireland. He is currently a member of the selection committee for the Ibero-American Quirino Awards and has served on juries at 3D Wire Festival in Spain and The Boyne Valley International Film Festival in Ireland. He is currently directing the hand-drawn animated feature Little Caribou.
Set against the beautiful backdrop of the Boyne Valley, the Boyne Valley International Film Festival (BVIFF) returns from the 7-9 August for its fifth year in partnership with LOVE Drogheda BIDS. Creating an environment for filmmakers and audiences to connect and celebrate film in the historical medieval town of Drogheda, located in the heart of the Boyne Valley Region.
