Droichead Arts Centre and Night Moves are delighted to welcome Katherine Priddy for an intimate concert in our cafe bar, with special guest Darragh O'Dea. Her new album These Frightening Machines, for release this March via Cooking Vinyl, follows Priddy’s highly acclaimed debut The Eternal Rocks Beneath and sophomore LP The Pendulum Swing, which firmly established her as one of the most exciting artists on the contemporary British music scene. Greeted with critical acclaim in the press, many called it “One of The Albums of the Year”.

With her momentum showing no signs of slowing, the release of These Frightening Machines is set to take her star even higher. Priddy has sold out headline tours and supported world-class artists with her haunting vocals and distinctive finger-picking guitar style. She recently wrote and released two songs with Poet Laureate Simon Armitage and performed on the legendary BBC Later with Jools Holland TV show. The most sonically varied of her career, the songs on Priddy’s new album span a full spectrum of emotions and explore what it means to keep going when things fall apart, to hold onto connections in a world that sometimes divides, and to figure out where we fit into the machines and systems we find ourselves a part of.

Darragh O’Dea

Irish songwriter Darragh O’Dea’s second album sees him teaming up with Canadian musician and producer Rob Butterfield to create a record that feels unfettered, expressive, and content in its own curious moments of bliss. (I am Drunk and feel The Earth is Worth Living, releases 7 Aug, 2026)

Recorded and produced between Galiano Island, BC, Canada and Galway, Ireland, the record also features contributions from Dan Gaucher (Destroyer, Dan Mangan), Anthony Thistlethwaite (The Waterboys), Jack Garton, Kiki Deirdre, Dave Clancy and Nan Vernon, while leaning into the influences of Leonard Cohen, John Cale and Wilco.

Darragh has receive airplay on both BBC and RTE Radio 1 and has taken to the stage of the Moseley Folk Festival

(Birmingham), Galway Arts Festival Big Top, Whelan’s (Dublin), The Eventim Apollo (London) and regularly tours across Europe.

Night Moves is an innovative night-time cultural programme led and produced by Droichead Arts Centre, curated by singer/songwriter SJ McArdle, in collaboration with Drogheda’s Night-Time Economy Adviser and supported by the Drogheda Purple Flag group.
