The 51st Annual Moynalty Steam Threshing Festival takes place on Sunday, 9th August 2026 at the Moynalty Steam Threshing Museum and parkland.

This event celebrates heritage, vintage machinery, traditional crafts, and live entertainment. The stage will be set by the Steam Threshing Committee where displays of vanishing work practices and food production can be seen along-side craft making and vintage displays i.e. Horse and steam power, reaping, binding, threshing and flailing. Traditional crafts such as basket weaving, steel forging, hot shoeing, tin craft, wood turning and harness making will be on show.

There will be a vintage road making display, this will show how roads were made over 100 years ago. We will be hosting our 2nd International Farrier competition.

Moynalty Steam Threshing Museum will be open and many vintage vehicles will be on display. Numerous craft and Auto jumble stalls can be seen.

The children will be entertained by the amusements or by watching dog show. There will be Music by Nathan Carter and band ,All Folk’d Up, Gavin Gribben and band, and Matt Leavy.  Our local Jennifer Brady school of Irish Dancing will also perform.
