Friday 19th of June, 7pm
Bermingham's Bar and the Navan Whiskey Society are proud to present a very special, one-off charity tasting as part of the Navan Midsummer Festival.
On Friday the 19th of June, Willie Aherne, proprietor of the world-famous Palace Bar on Dublin's Fleet Street, will be welcomed to present a selection of the Palace's exceptional single cask releases for guests to enjoy. As the whiskeys are sampled, Willie will guide attendees through the literary, sporting and political history of the pub, including (hopefully) some stories of the many infamous meetings that took place in his snug.
Here’s what will be tasted on the night:
Palace Bar 12 yr old Dunville's Single Malt (Port, PX & Moscatel Finish)
Palace Bar 12 yr old Teeling Single Malt (Port Pipe Finish)
Palace Bar 16 yr old Powers Single Cask (Bourbon Finish)
Palace Bar 17 yr old Redbreast Single Pot Still (All Sherry Single Cask)
Palace Bar 20 yr old Fercullen Single Malt (Single Cask, Ruby Port Finish)
Palace Bar 20 yr old Dunville's Single Malt (Single Cask, Oloroso Finish)
This promises to be a memorable evening, with every cent from ticket sales going to St Francis Hospice and The Mater, in honour of the late Gerry Duffy.
Tickets go on sale through Ticketstop on Saturday 30th of June at 10am. Follow @navanwhiskeyfestival and @berminghams_bar on Instagram for more details.
Sample lineup may be subject to change.
