Whether you want to make the most of the long weekend with your friends, if you’re travelling as a family, or if you want a romantic break away, there is something for everyone this Halloween in the Boyne Valley. Here is a three-day itinerary to keep everyone happy.
Day One.
Arrive at your accommodation destination in the Boyne Valley on Thursday the 30th or Friday the 31st of October. All of our accommodation members have great offers at the moment for mid-term break and Autumn special offers too.
You will have a list of activities to choose from on Friday (Halloween night) including the Púca Festival, Funtasia Waterpark Halloween event, Farmaphobia, and more.

The Púca Festival in Athboy will be hosting the lighting of the Samhain fire which is a free, non-ticketed event, beginning at 6:30pm on Friday, 31st October.

Finish off the evening with a lovely dinner in one of our many restaurants or Hotels before settling into your accommodation for the night.
Day Two
Enjoy a hearty breakfast in your hotel before spending the rest of the day discovering the Boyne Valley.
In the evening time, experience some terrifying haunts at Farmaphobia on Saturday the 1st of November or The Púca Festival in Athboy or Trim.
The Púca procession in Trim is a free, non-ticketed event! The Gathering of the Spirits will take place on November 1st. This authentic procession will blend outdoor theatre, street performance and music in a wild celebration of Samhain lore, nature, ancestry, and the looming darkness. As light turns to darkness and the veil thins, so too will the visions of otherworldly, shape-shifting spirits on their journey through the original home of Halloween.

Day three
Enjoy a delightful breakfast in your hotel before setting out to discover more of the Boyne Valley.
As the long weekend rolls into Sunday, November 2nd, the Boyne Valley will still be alive with Halloween magic as the Púca Festival draws to its grand conclusion. Towns and villages across Meath and Louth will be buzzing with festive energy, offering plenty to see and do for all ages. Whether you’re catching a final Púca performance, enjoying a feast, or simply soaking up the spooky atmosphere, the Boyne Valley is the perfect place to spend your Sunday wrapped in the spirit of Samhain.
The Samhain Festival of food and culture is also running from the 6th to the 9th of November in the Heritage town of Kells. This is the perfect break away for older families and couples and it includes food and drink tastings, cookery demo’s, food safari’s, farm tours and so much more. Find out more here.
