Michael is an established business owner with over 30 years’ experience in both the food services and property services industries. He opened his first restaurant, The Loft in Navan, Co. Meath in 1995, followed with his wife Tara by The Ground Floor in Kells in 1998 and The Sidedoor in Co. Cavan in 2001. They opened The Central in Navan & Bective Restaurant in Kells in 2012. He previously served for many years on the Meath Board of Tourism and set up and chaired the Meath Good Food Circle in 1997. Alongside his hospitality experience, Michael works as an estate agent and valuer, specialising in the sale and letting of commercial property.

Cllr. Duffy was co-opted to Meath County Council in April 2025, succeeding Senator Linda Nelson Murray after her election to Seanad Éireann. Previously, he served on Navan Town Council (2004–2009). Originally from Mayo, he moved to Meath in 1973 to attend Warrenstown Agricultural College, later studying at UCC and working with An Foras Taluntais (Teagasc) and the Irish Sugar Company (Greencore). In 2007, he co-founded Terrachem Ltd, an agri-distribution business, retiring in March 2025 after 18 years. Married to Kay, they have three adult children and have lived in Navan for 38 years.

Dara McGowan serves as a Director of Services in Meath County Council with responsibility for Economic Development, Rural Regeneration and EU Affairs.
The role focuses on making County Meath economically vibrant and sustainable, enabling citizens and businesses to thrive, and promoting the region nationally and internationally as one of the world’s leading experiential destinations.

Cllr Peter Caffrey is a local business owner from Olcastle, Co. Meath with years of experience working in the furniture industry.
Peter was elected local councillor for the Oldcastle area in 2024 and is dedicated to improving local services & assisting residents and community groups in accessing appropriate local authority services. Peter is also a Director on the Boyne Valley Tourism board and has a huge interest in his local community and is involved in many projects promoting North Meath as a vibrant tourist attraction with Loughcrew and Fore Abbey on his doorstep. He is very aware of the huge impact socially & economically in which tourism contributes to this area.
