The year is flying by and before we know it, the kids will be off on their February Mid Term Break. Blackwater Park Scéal Trail
The newly installed Scéal Trail in Blackwater Park Navan is a fun way to bring together the enjoyment of reading, a love of the outdoors and some physical activity. The trail follows Mr Wolf on a woolly adventure around Ireland as he tries to save his socks! The trail is a great activity for the kids this mid-term!
Enfield Fairy Trail
Visit the Fairy’s this midterm and visit the Harbour Area of the Royal Canal Leisure Park in Enfield. Take a stroll through this fully accessible, enchanting little Fairy Trail full of fairy doors, houses, ladybirds and even a couple of thrones! A magical day out for your little ones this mid-term break.
Funtasia Theme Park
A full day is needed to enjoy all the attractions at Funtasia Theme Park in Drogheda this mid-term. From climbing, bowling, crazy golf, or soft play areas to all the fun of the fairground. There’s something for the whole family to enjoy. Please note that their waterpark is not reopen until March.
Loughcrew Gardens
The heritage gardens at Loughcrew Estate provide the perfect family-friendly day out this mid-term break. There is something to suit all ages and interests, such as the infamous Fairy Trail and coffee shop. Grab a coffee and a cake and start exploring!
The Zone Activity Centre
Spend a day enjoying indoor karting, bowling, virtual reality, and soft play! The Zone Activity Centre, just outside Navan, also have outdoor laser tag and other activities as well as coffees and teas, hot lunch options and refreshments in their onsite cafe. Open Tuesday to Sunday, all year round.
Navan Adventure Centre
Spend the mid-term weekend on a Family Fun Package at Navan Adventure Centre. The centre offers 5 amazing activities (Mini Golf, Bouncy Inflatables, Pedal Go-Karting, Football Golf and their all-new adventure playground!) suitable for 3- to 12-year-olds.
Boyne Valley Playgrounds
You will never be stuck for somewhere to keep the kids entertained in the Boyne Valley. From Kells in North Meath to Killany in South Louth, there is hours of fun to be had. Please be advised that children should be supervised at all times.
Boyne Valley Swimming Pools
If the weather isn’t playing ball, then take to the swimming pools in the Boyne Valley for an afternoon of fun in the water. Aura Leisure have swimming pools in Trim, Navan and Drogheda and you will also find a public pool in Kells. Knightsbrook Hotel also has a kid’s pool as part of their leisure centre.
Sonairte
Visitors to Sonairte this mid-term break can enjoy a walk in the walled organic garden and adjacent nature trail with spectacular views of the River Nanny, a browse in their Eco Shop, visit their Bee Museum, and try a delicious meal in their café!
White River Karting
Located just 8 minutes from Drogheda, White River Karting is the perfect place for older kids this mid-term in the Boyne Valley. As Ireland’s premier outdoor karting facility, they provide thrills and excitement for both experienced and novice drivers in fast, high-spec karts. Participants must be 14 years or older.
