Each August, communities across Ireland come together to celebrate National Heritage Week, and in the Boyne Valley, this celebration takes on a uniquely rich and vibrant form. From ancient ruins and grand estates to fascinating walking tours and family-friendly activities, the region offers a wide range of experiences that bring our cultural, built and natural heritage to life.
This year’s theme, Exploring Our Foundations, invites us to reflect on what has shaped us: not just the structures that still stand, but the landscapes, people, and stories that laid the groundwork for who we are today. Whether you're an architecture enthusiast, a lover of Irish legends, or simply looking for a meaningful day out, Heritage Week 2025 in the Boyne Valley has something for everyone. 16th–24th August 2025.
