O' Connell's Skryne

This historic pub can be found on The Hill of Skyrne. It was made famous when Guinness used it for their Christmas advert. It is popularly known as ‘Mrs. O’s’ or ‘Yankee’s’ and has practically stayed the same for about a hundred years with its snug, turf fireplace, and authentic wood-paneled walls. The original whitewashed yard now shelters smokers acknowledging the no-smoking rule!

There is also a lovely beer garden with beautiful views, some even see as far as Howth Head & Dublin Airport! A great atmospheric pint is to be had. It is located opposite a national monument called Skreen Church which is also worth a visit.
