This historic pub can be found on The Hill of Skyrne. It was made famous when Guinness used it for their Christmas advert. It is popularly known as ‘Mrs. O’s’ or ‘Yankee’s’ and has practically stayed the same for about a hundred years with its snug, turf fireplace, and authentic wood-paneled walls. The original whitewashed yard now shelters smokers acknowledging the no-smoking rule! The only modern contraption allowed was a pool table as television broadcasts do not enter this establishment. A great atmospheric pint is to be had.
