Navan Midsummer Festival

Learn how to design and create your own terrarium. Terrariums are mini ecosystems and require little to no maintenance. Once made, all they need is some light for the plants to photosynthesise, creating moisture on the glass which then waters the plants. During this 1.5-hour workshop, indoor plant expert Daniel from House of Plants will teach you about indoor plants, how to create your own mini ecosystem and how to maintain it afterwards.

Join us at the Midsummer Market for the judging and prizegiving of the Royal Crown Competition, where shortlisted young finalists from local schools will showcase their creative designs in person. Please note this is not an open entry event — attendance is for pre-selected finalists only, so come along to cheer them on and enjoy the celebration.

The Hill of Tara, meet at the car park (C15 AVY8)

Step onto the Hill of Tara and slow down, taking in the beauty of this iconic landscape during the midsummer season. Begin with a gentle walk through the area, soaking up the views and the unique atmosphere of the solstice.

Settle into a peaceful spot and tap into your creative side by painting “positivity pebbles” – small stones decorated with colours, symbols or uplifting messages, inspired by your surroundings. It’s a simple, mindful activity that invites you to relax, reflect and connect with the place.
