Night Moves | Night Cafes | The Coffee Box | Boyne Midsummer Festival - Free Event
Something special is coming to Drogheda. A collaboration of local organisers building a new vision — Sound Town Night, taking place the last Friday of every month and Droichead are delighted to present our fourth Night Moves Café for 2026 on Fri 26 June at The Coffee Box on George’s Street as part of Boyne Midsummer Festival 2026.
Join us for an evening of intimate music and song from Ally Brett, Gillian Tuite and Caiman Hall between 8.30pm - 11pm drop in, grab a coffee and cake and enjoy!
At just 19 years old, Ally Brett is already carving out a distinct space in the modern music landscape with a sound that’s both timeless and refreshingly original. Drawing inspiration from legends like James Taylor, Joni Mitchell, Janis Ian, and Billy Joel, and blending it with the funk-infused grooves of Vulfpeck and Cory Wong, her music bridges introspective songwriting with rich, dynamic instrumentation. Ally is currently working on her debut project and hopes to release it before the end of the year.
Gillian Tuite is a singer, songwriter and fingerstyle guitarist from Oldcastle, Co. Meath. Her performances, typified by creative and tasteful guitar playing, strong vocal melodies and heartfelt lyrics, have earned her a reputation for captivating a live audience. Gillian travels regularly to Nashville where she collaborates with renowned figures from the world of country, folk and bluegrass music. Gillian is currently recording her forthcoming album and touring Irish theatres with her show The Nanci Griffith Songbook, a tribute to the musical legacy of the late Nanci Griffith.
Caimin Hall is a deeply accomplished folk songwriter and veteran of legendary Drogheda-area bands like Harafish, The Great Okwardo and seven-piece supergroup The Cacks, who released their critically-acclaimed debut album Celebrity in 2025. Caimin is a multi-instrumentalist who plays fiddle, guitar, bouzouki and mandolin.
Night Moves is an innovative night time cultural programme led and produced by Droichead Arts Centre, curated by singer/songwriter, SJ McArdle, in collaboration with Drogheda’s Night-Time Economy Adviser and supported by the Drogheda Purple Flag group. Championing a more diverse night-time offering and helping trial what a more balanced evening economy might look like.
