Navan Midsummer Festival

The Big Dig excavation offers children an opportunity to experience what it is like to be an archaeologist by learning how to excavate the remains of a Viking house. During their dig for Viking treasures and artefacts, they also learn about the lifestyles of their Viking ancestors, guided by our team of professional working archaeologists. Our engaged and knowledgeable staff will demonstrate and explain how the objects uncovered during the dig were used in day-to-day life during the Viking era.

Navan Midsummer Market takes place Sunday 10am – 5pm in St Mary’s Church car park.

Morning Glory bring a full night of Oasis anthems to Navan, delivering one of the standout Oasis tribute shows in Ireland. Featuring a lead singer from Manchester, they offer a more authentic experience – no wigs, no nonsense.

Known for their high-energy shows and big singalong moments, the band have built a strong reputation for a proper live set, including performances at Electric Picnic.

Schola Hyberniae propose a musical hour inspired by the history of the Boyne Valley. This interactive performance will feature chants about light and ancient sung texts dedicated to Saint Patrick and Saint Brigid, evoking a strong sense of place and mysticism which connects contemporary audiences with our ancestral heritage.

As part of the Navan Mid-Summer Festival, this unique evening invites you to unwind, get creative, and celebrate the longest days of the year in style. Sip on delicious cocktails while the Kandle Queen guides you through the art of candle jar painting & decorating dinner candles, helping you craft your own beautiful creation to take home.

Join us for the Wonder Wander Walk as part of this year's Navan Midsummer Festival! Meet outside Solstice Arts Centre at 2pm on Friday 19th for a relaxed and engaging guided walk through the heart of Navan.

Step into the world of thoroughbred racing with an exclusive 1.5-hour experience at Bective Stud. The visit begins at 12pm with a guided tour of the beautiful grounds, led by the knowledgeable Stud Manager. Guests gain fascinating insights into the racehorses, mares and foals, along with a rare opportunity to see the alpacas—currently in cria—and their young.
