Meath LSP in association with Boyne Valley Activities are hosting a Blueway Celebration Day for Adults 50+ on Saturday 24th September!

The Boyne Blueway Trim is a beautiful stretch of the river Boyne which flows from Trim to Bective Mill.

National Criterium Cycling Championships in Kells

An evening of fast, furious, colourful racing is in store as Kells is set to welcome the National Criterium Cycling Championships to the town on Wednesday evening 6th July.

Moynalty Cycling Club will host the event on behalf of Cycling Ireland. Racing will take place on a closed circuit of streets in the centre of Kells and around 120 of the country's top amateur cyclists are expected to take part in the men's and women's races.

Games on Bettystown Beach

Dust off your bucket and spade as "Games on the Beach" returns to Bettystown on Wednesday July 20th!

The programme will include a wide range of exciting new games and sporting initiatives for children and teenagers. 

Organised by Meath Sports Partnership in association with Foróige, East Coast Family Resource Centre. Volleyball Ireland, Irish Olympic Handball Association and Cricket Leinster a highly entertaining day is planned.

There will be two sessions,

  • 11am- 1pm (Children 8-12 yrs)
  • 2pm- 4pm (Teens 13-17 yrs)

Kells Road Races 2022

Confirmed date for Kells Road Races 2022
Saturday 18th & Sunday 19th June 2022.
Crossakiel Circuit.

This years event will be €30 for the weekend pass, this is the same price if you arrive on Saturday or Sunday so why not make the most of it and come for practice and race day and show your support for road racing. 
On arrival you will receive a wristband and a complimentary programme (while stocks last). 
Supporters with no wristband will be charged €5 per programme.

Calm Paths: Symphony in the Garden

Book your space in the all weather Scandinavian tipi, a wonderful community space that allows for sitting indoors and outdoors simultaneously.

Savour the scenery of Rosemount Gardens in this three hour outdoor session combining mindfulness and nature.
Exploring the relationship between our body and the external world. The connection with nature is immediately noticeable and body and mind can completely let go and relax.

St Laurence's Gate to Fair Gate Walk with Boyne Valley Trails

Take a punt through Drogheda's past with Colin Byrne and Historian Sean Collins. Starting at Laurence's Gate, the walk will take in a special visit to the interior of St Peters, Church of Ireland and churchyard and hear about its special place in Drogheda's history.

As we walk to Fair Gate we will hear stories of some of the people and places along the way. Finishing at the Punt Pub with its history and a complimentary local beverage and a bit of music and song to conclude.
