The 2025 Hinterland Festival takes place in Kells, Co. Meath from 26th– 29th June

A four-day celebration of literature, history, music, and imagination – set in the heart of historic Kells, Co. Meath.

This year's line-up includes John Banville, John Boyne, Kevin Barry, Lara Marlowe, Roisín O’Donnell, and many more acclaimed voices from Ireland and beyond.

From gripping author talks and history deep-dives, to children’s adventures and late-night Lit Crawl surprises, Hinterland has something for every curious mind and every age.
