GUIDED FARM TOURS
Guided tours of Rock Farm run at 11am on Thursdays tying in with the Farm Shop pick up, and by private arrangement.
Tours give a fascinating insight into this pioneering 90-acre organic farm and ecotourism destination on the historic Slane Castle Estate. Visitors learn about the life of an organic farmer and artisan producer while they walk through the farm that is home to rare breed animals like Dexter cows and Tamworth pigs as well as the happy flock of chickens who provide free range eggs.
The tour includes organic market garden which produces bumper crops of veg and fields of barley used for the whiskey made at Slane Distillery. It’s an opportunity to learn about eco-tourism, glamping and strawbale buildings. we also offer private tours for groups of six and over by arrangement. Farm tours include a delicious tasting session of our own and local produce.
