'Save the Last Dance' Railway Drama - Kilmainhamwood Platform

Welcome back to Sharon Carroll and Yellow River Drama group on their 3rd year to perform their Railway Drama. 

 

Following on from “The Journey” & “For The Love of Ledwidge “ Sharon has written and directed this piece “ Save the Last Dance” with local history in mind. 

She takes us back to the swinging 60’s in Wilkinstown Village where we see great excitement building with talk of a new showband appearance in the local hall.

Spend a morning with Shane Holland, an award-winning artist, master metal worker and sculptor.

You can expect a guided tour of the showroom and gallery spaces. Then create a personal sculpture from a shortlist of designs that ensure different tasks and skills can be achieved without the participants having too much experience. Under the tutorship and guidance of Shane in his studio, you can expect to hammer metals, use resin, hand engrave writing, sand and finish your design.
