Friends of Collon Church are delighted to announce a concert in the Church of Ireland Collon on Saturday 20th December at 8.00pm, just a few days before Christmas.

Excitement is building as The Navan Racing Festival returns for its highly anticipated third year! Set to deliver a thrilling weekend of jumps racing featuring the renowned Bar One Racing Troytown Chase, the Bar One Racing Fortria Chase and the Railway Bar Lismullen Hurdle. 
The excitement doesn't stop at the track - local music & entertainment will headline the stage each day of the festival making this weekend the ultimate festival for racegoers from near and far. 

The Royal Meath Show takes place at the Porchfield in Trim on Sunday 7th September.

With stock competitions, trade stands, cookery demonstrations and music by Johnny Brady there will be something for all the family to enjoy.

2025 marks the 175 years since the railway came to Navan.  

In 1850 the Dublin and Drogheda Railway Company opened a branch line to Navan, linking the town to Ireland’s rapidly expanding network of railways. The railways brought increased trade and visitors to Navan and Meath, as well as allowing local people greater access to goods, services and entertainment.
