The Easter Holidays have arrived early this year and all the more reason to start planning your Easter break to the Boyne Valley. Situated in County Meath and South County Louth, The Boyne Valley is the perfect place to enjoy interesting heritage sites, miles and miles of tracks and trails, and lots of activities for the kids! Here are our top Easter Activities in the Boyne Valley in 2024.


Fairyhouse Racing Festival

Fairyhouse is home to the famous three-day Easter Festival which is taking place from Saturday 30th March - Monday 1st April 2024. Each day features top class racing, all-inclusive hospitality, live music, and entertainment to suit everyone.  Their family day takes place on Sunday the 31st of March. Their KIDS GO FREE policy means that all the family can experience one of Ireland’s most prestigious race meetings for a fraction of the price, all with the addition of free entertainment for all ages. Find out more here. 


Spire of Lloyd Guided Tours

Bring them on a historical adventure on a guided tour of the Spire of Lloyd on the 5th of April. (Closed on Good Friday). Our new guided tours of Ireland’s only inland lighthouse have just started and tickets are selling fast. Easter Sunday Pick your own Daffodils.
Elmgrove Farm
Make your way to Elmgrove Farm in Gormanston this Easter Sunday for some fun in the fields. Visitors will be able to walk through millions of daffodils and fill their arms with beautiful blooms. This is a ticketed event that must be booked online in advance. Find out more here. 


Easter at Red Mountain Open Farm

Running from Saturday 23rd of March to Sunday 7th of April daily 10:30am to 5pm including Bank Holiday Monday. Their morning session runs from 10:30am to 1:30pm and afternoon session from 2pm to 5pm. They are CLOSED on MONDAY 25TH OF MARCH. With plenty of activities in their large open barns so regardless of the weather, you’re guaranteed to have a good time! Participate in their annual Easter Treasure Hunt! This Treasure Hunt is exclusively on Saturday the 30th of March, Sunday the 31st of March and Monday the 1st of April. Easter Egg Hunt at Beewise Nature Trail

This has proven to be a very popular event with fun for all ages. In addition to collecting chocolate treats around the trail, they have hidden a limited number of special Dinosaur eggs in hard to find places. Each of these eggs contain additional surprises including the Coveted Golden Ticket. Only one Dinosaur egg is permitted per family. Running on Sunday the 31st of March and Monday April 1st. Dino Roar and Easter Egg Hunt at Emerald Park

Budding dino-enthusiasts can stomp on down to Emerald Park this Easter to take part in Dino Roar, an interactive, dinosaur meet and greet event! Embark on a Jurassic adventure and meet a range of prehistoric friends along the way. Chat with expert rangers and be sure to ask them some fun facts about your favourite dino species.
An Emerald Easter Adventure is pending. Join us for a hop-tastic weekend filled with fun. Grab your map and get ready to embark on a day filled with eggs-ploration.
