Wildlife Encounters Through the Lens showcases the variety and beauty of some of the birds and animals that award-winning photographer Tom Ormond has encountered along his way.

Tom Ormond took up nature photography a few years ago, and since then he has had some of the most amazing experiences both observing and photographing wildlife.

Emersed in the exhibition and publication ‘Boy Dancer’ on display in our Foyer Gallery, join members of Bóann Writers' group for a relaxed evening of reflection and shared musings evoked by the works of poet Annemarie Ní Churreáin and visual artist Niamh McCann.

Unfolding as a textual wake, a reaction to the loss of Ní Churreáin’s foster brother, McCann’s visual responses of birds and beasts as seers, omens, and witnesses ‘swoop between words’, embracing the lyrical and mythical qualities of the poems.
