The mid-term break is winding down and the kids are ready to go back to school. Halloween events are finishing up but there is still plenty of activities happening in the Boyne Valley this November! If you are looking for a place to visit in Ireland that is always buzzing with events then the Boyne Valley is the place to be. Join us this November for a host of entertainment including food festivals, walking tours, illumination events and so much more. Here is a full list of what you can look forward to this November in the Boyne Valley.


Lú Festival of Light

This Spectacular Urban Animation show is running in Drogheda from the 2nd to the 5th of November. The festival started over the Bank Holiday weekend and the reviews have been amazing. Lú Festival of Light tells the stories of 5 of Ireland’s mythological heroes and heroines that have been passed down through the generations. The animation shows take place each evening from 6.30pm to 9.30pm at St Peter’s Church, the Old Abbey and St Laurence’s Gate. 


The Samhain Food Festival Kells

The Samhain Festival of Food and Culture takes place from the 3rd to the 6th of November in Kells. The festival will take you on an exploratory journey, a feast for enjoyment and curiosity, with a great line up of Chefs and Food Writers; Cookery Demonstrations; Farm Tours; Farmers Markets; Cookery Competition; Meet the Makers; Children’s Workshops; Pub Trails; Long Table Supper  and of course plenty of Food & Drink Tastings throughout the weekend. Wide Dining has been taking Ireland by storm in the past number of months and this November it is coming to Loughcrew estate and Gardens. It is the ultimate outdoor fine dining experience. A evening of music, feasting on local produce and adventure awaits on the 4th of November.

Join comedian Joe Rooney on November 6th of the Drogheda stage of Louth Culture Quest.  The Louth Culture Quest app is a futuristic treasure hunt exploring County Louth. From the Cooley Peninsula to the coastal town of Baltray, tread the towns of Dundalk and Drogheda on foot. Armed with your mobile device and guided by the custodian from the future named Lugh. In this Zone, participants will amble the medieval town of Drogheda, explore the origins of the River Boyne and uncover how bartering makes a return in the future.

Always a amazing spectacle each winter, Loughcrew Gardens comes alive with breath taking visuals, eye watering effects, stupefying artworks and a stories as old as time. This year, Loughcrew lights- The Enchanted Garden will run from the 11th of November until the 3rd of January!

Causey Farm Christmas Experience

The extremely popular Causey Farm Christmas Experience starts on the 20th of November this year. All the sheds at the farm have different Christmas-themed events and everyone moves from place to place to sample each new experience. This is where Christmas memories are made with the kids- including a visit to the big man himself! 


Tayto Park Christmas Experience

Visit Santa's grotto, meet the elves, and see Santa himself at this years Tayto Park Christmas Experience. The experience includes all day access to the Junior Zone and runs from the 25th of November to the 23rd of December. Be sure to book well in advance as this events tends to book out. 


Solstice Arts Theatre

There are plenty of events happening this November in the Solstice Arts Centre in Navan. From cinema to theatre, life drawing and everything in between. Events include Dance Force Academy, The Artist Laboratory Seminar, An Cosán Draíochta and much more.


Droichead Arts Centre
Drogheda Classical Music Concerts
The Liverpool String Quartet will perform masterworks from the repertoire including a set of four Piazzolla tangos, arranged by the quartet on the 4th of November as part of the Drogheda Classical Music season. Other events include MÁM- Teac Damsa, Rosie and Frank, and Selvage.


The Cottage Market Drogheda

The Cottage market are back in St Peters Church of Ireland on the 5th of November from 11am to 4pm. This monthly market features lots of local food and crafts as well as food trucks and live music! 


Fairyhouse Racecourse

Make your way to Fairyhouse Racecourse this November for racing on Tuesday 8th- Mid-week Jumps Racing. And on Tuesday 15th for Mid-week Jumps Racing. The first race is approximately 12.30pm on both days.


The Venue Theatre Ratoath

Beyond the Horizon (Irish Pink Floyd Tribute Show) will play the Venue theatre on the 12th of November. "Playing songs from the psychedelia of the '60’s through to The Division Bell, and all performed by a talented Tribute band of lifelong Pink Floyd fans with our own amazing Theatre Light/Laser and Video Show"
